Materials
- Large tray
- Shaving cream
- Food coloring
- Spatula or spoon
- Paper
- Ruler (optional)
Create Together
- Grab a large baking tray and spray a layer of shaving cream on top.
- Use a spatula or spoon to spread out the shaving cream into a thin layer.
- Pick two of your favorite food coloring colors and add 3-4 drops of each color to the shaving cream. Make sure the drops are spread out.
- Use a spatula or spoon to lightly swirl the shaving cream around. Watch your colors begin to blend. The more you mix your shaving cream, the more colorful it will be. Make sure to not lose all of the swirl patterns because this is what creates the marble effect.
- Once you’ve made your swirly patterns, take a sheet of white paper and lightly lay it down on the shaving cream so that all edges of the paper are touching the cream.
- Now peel up your paper slowly from one end.
- Use a ruler or your hand to wipe your shaving cream off of the paper to reveal a marbled masterpiece!
- Keep going! Try different color combinations and swirl patterns to make more masterpieces.
- Once your marbled masterpiece is dry, you can cut, draw, and paint on them to create even more art!
