Learn Together

Moving and grooving wakes up our bodies and gets children ready to learn new things — like new words in English or Spanish. Talking to your child in the language you are most comfortable using helps set the foundation for future learning in any language!

Materials

  • Computer/iPad screen

Move Together

Dance and sing along with CMOM partner Flor Bromley and her videos “Kids Song: Open Shut Them” and her original song “Kitty.”

Watch the video “Kids Song: Open Shut Them”.

  1. Sing along with Flor and Archie in English and Spanish. What new words did you learn in Spanish?
  2. Listen to it again. This time use an instrument to groove to the beat.

Join Flor on her animated adventure to try and keep up with her rascally Kitty.

  1. Pick a stuffed animal to play the role of Kitty.
  2. Take turns hiding Kitty somewhere in your home and having your family look for her.
  3. Play the video again and see if you can find Kitty before the song ends!

Watch these videos and see how many new Spanish words you can learn!
