Learn Together
Gay Pride helps us remember to express ourselves, and learn about others! The rainbow pride flag represents the LGBTQ+ community, and reminds us that everyone matters, no matter who you are, what you look like, or how you feel!
Materials

Make Together
First let’s make a DIY rainbow pride flag!
- Roll up your paper towel so it looks like a long snake. You can roll up the short side or the long side, but you can add more colors rolling the long side.
- Tie 4-5 rubber bands evenly spaced along your paper towel snake. If you tie 5 rubber bands, you can use all colors of the rainbow!
- Use washable markers to color between the rubber bands. Going from one end to the other, color the spaces red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
- Fill a spray bottle with water and spray your colorful paper towel snake.
- Take the rubber bands off.
- Unroll your paper towel to reveal your rainbow tie dye pride flag!

Now it’s your turn to tell your own story! Think of a few characteristics that make up who you are. Then, pick a color to represent each characteristic and do this project again to create a flag that represents you.
