Make Together
In this #ConcertsForKids from Lincoln Center, meet 123 Andrés, the husband-and-wife team of Andrés and Christina, a Latin Grammy-winning duo with a lively show that gets families singing and dancing.
- Andrés and Christina took on the challenge of creating a song that uses the ge (he) and gi (hee) sound in Spanish. Together they came up with a song about a growing sunflower. Sunflower in Spanish is girasol (hee-dah-sole)!
- Next, sing along to their song “Vuela vuela” using the words from the song, or the lyrics, available on the screen.
- 123 Andrés teaches us about the charango, a small stringed instrument that originates from the Andes in South America. Create your own string instrument with CMOM at Home.
- Learn about the claves and dance along with your family. Don’t have any claves? You can follow the rhythm with your hands!
- Enjoy the music of 123 Andrés even more with your own shakers. Join us on CMOM’s YouTube Channel to make Shake, Rattle, ’n Roll Instruments.
