Dance Together
Check out ABTots virtual class with Rita Bearden. ABTots is a unique parent/child engagement program designed for children two to three years of age.
- When you are all done with the virtual class, think about the scribbles in the story I’m Not Just a Scribble by Alber. The scribble and his drawing friends felt a lot of different feelings!
- What are some of the feelings that you feel sometimes? Happy? Sad? Scared? Angry? Excited?
- Make a list of feelings and try to draw them out in scribbles. What would an angry scribble look like? What color would an excited scribble be?
- When you are finished scribbling out your feelings, try to dance your scribbles. A sharp elbow here, a slow rolling twist there, maybe a hop over the line.
- Expressing yourself through movement can be a very helpful way to explore emotions. How do you move your excited scribble? How about a worried scribble?
