Learn Together

Your child learns more language talking with you than from watching TV. Everyday conversations lead to reading later on!

Make Together

  1. Gather 5-6 pieces of paper and fold them in half. Fold cardstock in half or cut two pieces of cardboard the same size as a folded piece of paper.
    1. For cardstock: Place all the paper inside the folded cardstock. You now have a front and back cover and
      pages.
    2. For cardboard: Take one of your folded pieces of paper. While folded glue or tape a piece of cardboard to the front and another on the back. Once dry place the rest of the folded pages inside your cardboard cover. Next, punch two holes with a hole punch or scissors along the folded areas of your pages and cover. Run a piece of string or yarn through your book and tie a knot to keep it together.
  2. Decorate your book with markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
  3. Design a page for each member of your family. Add drawings of your family or printed photos. You can also use additional pictures and words from magazines.
  4. While creating your Family Storybook have a conversation!
