Make Together

Did you know that there are over 6500 spoken languages all over the world? That means there are more than 6500 ways to say hello!

  • Watch How to Say Hello with Mumu Fresh.
  • Listen to Mumu Fresh and repeat after her as she shows us how to say hello in Choctaw, Spanish, Swahili, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Amharic, and more!
  • See how many you can remember. There are a lot of different games you can play to help you learn new words in any language:
    • Spend a whole day only saying hello in Russian. The next day, try French or Japanese.
    • Leave sticky notes around your home. Each time you find one, say the new word three times then hide it again for someone else to find.
    • Host a game show. Pick a language and see who can remember how to say hello in that language the fastest.
  • Sing along with Winston and Mumu Fresh to The Hello Song and remember…“You can make a friend wherever you go, if you know how to say hello!”

Want to learn even more ways to make friends in other languages? Introduce yourself with My Name is… Introduce yourself around the world , a free app for the iPad.
